Living Sacrifice- The Infinite Order
I’ve never listened to Living Sacrifice much.  Despite them being around for so long (holding the honor of being the Christian community’s first metal band), I only recently heard about them when their vocalist Bruce Fitzhugh appeared as a guest on Demon Hunter’s Storm the Gates of Hell back in 2007.  I was impressed with the amount of power his voice held, but being a guy who...

This might seem a little excessive, but if you haven’t seen this music video, you must do so. I promise I will not post anymore Showbread videos… until they release another one, which I’m sure will be very shortly. Hehe…

Number One Gun- To the Secrets and Knowledge
For me, Number One Gun has always been that group that was unreasonably obscure.  I never bothered to give them a listen, and I figured that after their last album was done solo by lead singer Jeff Schneeweis, Number One Gun was on its way out.  Of course, that is not the case, and this time around Tooth & Nail seemed to really be pushing for people to check it out.  I must say, it’s...

Update 1/21
There is good news.  There is bad news… and lots of it. The good news?  Number One Gun’s album, To the Secrets and Knowledge, is currently streaming in its entirety on their PureVolume.  Get over there.  It sounds good. The other good news—Tooth & Nail will be releasing an Emery anthology called Are You Listening?, for those who don’t own their first three albums,...

Most Anticipated Albums of 2010
Here is my list of albums that I’ll be looking forward to this year.  But this time, instead of a boring old list, I’ll provide you with a little bit of commentary on why these are going to be the dominant albums this year.  So to start it off… 10. The Afters- [Untitled] (2010) I really like this band.  They make good music.  I’m sure there will be other bands releasing...

BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
The new Demon Hunter album I was talking about?  A song is going to be premiered on Radio U’s “Battle of the Buzz” tonight at 6:00.  You may have another chance to hear it tomorrow night if it wins, but I wouldn’t risk it.  So if you read this in time and are able to catch a listen here, please do.  I have high expectations, and so should you.  :) -FISHER

Update 1/12 (FINALLY.)
Welcome to the first music news update of 2010!  My computer had a huge crash that took a few days to get fixed, so that’s why I’m a little late.  But for those of you who waited… Demon Hunter is releasing their fifth album, The World is a Thorn, on March 9th.  Be prepared for some epic new metal music.  Guitarist Ethan Luck and co-founder Don Clarke recently left the band...

2009's Honorable Mentions || #5
Family  Force 5- Dance or Die With a Vengeance Last summer, we were introduced to a side of Family Force 5 that a lot of us were slightly uncomfortable with. A few “fans” were lost, but the real ones stuck with them. New fans were made recently on the AP Tour with well-known names such as The Maine, Hit The Lights, and 3OH!3. And now Family Force 5 gives us fans a little something...
