"There’s this misplaced notion that Christian artists take some form of secular entertainment and offer a God-based alternative. It doesn’t make any sense to me. Art itself is a product of God’s limitless creativity and belongs to him. Christian artists don’t have to offer a Jesus substitute to the secular arts; they can simply create art from the overflow of their love for Jesus, and he will do the rest. The idea isn’t to sneak evangelism into art or art into evangelism, but to simply create art and allow the mind of Christ within the Christian to evangelize through honesty, love, compassion, humility, truth, and freedom, traits that will inevitably present themselves in genuine art as a product of the Christian’s creativity. Art belongs to Jesus, not the world. There is no need to commandeer it."
